A catch-all e-mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to invalid addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an out-of-date address or has made a spelling mistake. The negative aspect of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of spam, but this problem can be resolved using an anti-spam filtering solution. It’s also essential to remember that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming emails to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

Setting up a catch-all mailbox will be astonishingly easy in case you’ve got a cloud website hosting with our company. You can activate this option through our advanced, albeit easy-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is built into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer your shared web hosting account. You will see all the mailboxes that you have created displayed alphabetically and on the right-hand side of each of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly reveal to you whether a particular mailbox stores all the email messages for a given domain name or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature whenever you like. If there’s activated email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you will get a warning message from our system. The latter will not replace/deactivate anything automatically and without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated effortlessly in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you have set up with the domain names hosted in the account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll see a small-size icon handily located directly next to each one of them. With just one click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this option through the contextual menu that will come into sight. In case any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will warn you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
